Sanctum startup college resumed on the 12th of september, 2022. The students were welcomed by the teachers and students of the school as orientation took place for the JS1 and SS1 students. The Basic Education Certificate Examination results were released on th 15th of september, 2022. According to statistics, all our JSS3 students (current SS1 students) did excellently well as the school celebrated 13 distinctions and no fail or resit. The principal congratulated the students and encouraged them to put more effort in their forthcoming WAEC, JAMB and NECO exams. The school is also looking forward to better results from its current JSS3 set as they aspire to surpass the “Achievers”. On the second week, activities were given for the upcoming teachers day activities like recording, snapshot and others. All this activities are in preparation towards the upcoming the teachers day on the 5th of october 2022 which is a day to thank and congratulate our dearest teachers. Loose test is ongoing in sanctum. Students are encouraged to read and prepare for the test as it will be recorded as the 1st continous assessment. Press club wishes all the students success.
The students wing of Nigerian Universities demanded for the immediate resignation of education minister, Adamu, over his alleged failure to bring to an end the current strike by members of the Academic Staff Union of nigerian Universities. According to the students, federal government seemed not to be bothered about their future and about the negative effects that strikes has been having on them. The students stated that the government, in particular the minister of education, lacks the political will, capacity and willingness to bring the matter to an end, as such he should resign with immediate effect.
President Joe Biden speech at the United Nations general assembly came hours after puting an announced expansion of his war effort, “this war is about extinguishing Ukrainians’ right to exist as a people”, Biden told the international body. He also called the seven months old invasion a “brutal needless war” that amounts to “shameless violation”. His speech dramatically illustrated the challenges that lie ahead in biden’s efforts to sustain Ukraine and punish Moscow. He had already planned to make the Ukraine war a centerpiece of his yearly UN address, with aides previewing a harsh message for moscow
